There was a question about whether you could include links to other web sites and pictures in your blog. You can indeed as the rest of this post shows:

Here is a link to the course page put up as a test to see if it's possible to put links in the blog.

Here is a
picture of me to see if these can be put in place.

To do this, you want to create a post and pick the "Edit Html" tab and then include things as html. You can choose the "Compose" tab to edit your work as well but then you will see what the post will look like. When doing the html, link have to be "from the root". That is a link to frs127.org will not work but a link to http://frs127.org will.

Now it is September 9 and I am taking a careful look at the syllabus to get ready for the first class. Paul and I will meet for lunch to revise and plot out a strategy for the first session.

A next step for me is to create instructions for students about how to create their own blogs. It is as simple as

1. Go to http://www.blogger.com
2 Click on the Arrow that says ``Create your own blog now''
3. Follow the instructions there
4. Send an email to profs@frs127.org letting us know the URL for your blog.
5. Start blogging

This is my first post. I am testing to see whether this might be a good way to create a blog.
